This Molière comedy classic is playing at London’s Comedy Theatre until the Spring of 2010. .

Featuring an all-star cast lead by Damian Lewis, Keira Knightley, and Tara Fitzgerald, the play has been transformed by Martin Crimp from the original story’s original 17th Century Parisian setting and placed it in modern-day London, and directed by Thea Shurrock, the award-winning reviver of Equus. .

The Misanthrope follows the story of Alceste (Damian Lewis), a disillusioned and angry British playwright frustrated with the hypocrisy, greed, and superficiality of the modern world. It’s no surprise that he chooses to reject it all together, but his attempts to do so fail when he falls head over heels in love with Jennifer (Keira Knightley), an ambitious Hollywood star and darling of high society.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see some of the world’s greatest performers enact the work of one of the finest French dramatic writers! Enjoy dinner and a show in London’s West End. Make it a night to remember!
