"Madame de Sade" is a remarkable play of the life of Madame de Sade. Madame de Sade is passionately and utterly devoted to her husband the Marquis de Sade, and against her mothers wishes supports him through his imprisonment. He is imprisoned in the Bastille for his lurid escapades and licentious behavior through the violent revolution in Paris.

The poetic brilliance of "Madame de Sade" is told through the eyes of six remarkable woman explaining the trials and tribulations of the Marquis de Sade.

"Madame de Sade" has a remarkable cast of stars from both stage and screen including Academy Award winner Judi Dench. Judi Dench will be playing Madame de Montreuil, the Marquis de Sade's mother-in-law. Alongside Judi Dench will be Frances Barber, Deborah Findlay, Jenny Galloway and Fiona Button. Directing the long anticipated "Madame de Sade" will be Michael Grandage. "Madame de Sade" was originally a 1965 play written by Yukio Mishimi, a talented and daring writer and revolutionary.
