All My Sons is coming to the Apollo theatre in London, a play based on a true story that occurred during the Second World War. A compelling story of love, guilt and the corrupting power of greed filled with moral dilemmas that will astonish you from the moment it starts.
August 1947, it is a Sunday morning and Joe Keller (David Suchet), a 61 year old who loves his family, is just reading his paper. It has been 3 and a half years since his son, Larry, died in a plane crash because of mechanical problems close to the coast of China during the Second World War. His wife, Kate (Zoe Wanamaker), says she refuses to believe that her son has died. On top of that she knows that her husband is involved with the death of her son, because he delivered broken aeroplane parts to the army which caused the crashes. Joe Keller’s other son, Chris, wants to marry the former fiancée of his brother. During the play they try to convince the mother of the death of Larry so they can get married and try to find out the truth behind his horrifying death which will lead to the uncovering of a shameful family secret.
